Learner Driver Program

At Pheasant Wood Circuit, we believe the best place to learn the fundamentals of driving is in a safe, controlled environment - away from public roads and everyday traffic.

Our learner driver program gives young drivers the opportunity to build confidence behind the wheel and develop essential driving skills before they begin driving on public roads.

Open to students from 12 years of age, the program allows parents and your drivers to learn together in a relaxed environment, helping make those first driving experiences safer, more enjoyable and less daunting for everyone.

Whether you’ve been driving on the farm for years or you’ve never sat behind the wheel, our Learner Driver Program caters to all skill levels.

Our full-day course combines practical, hands on driving experience with essential theory. It's fantastic to see how quickly our junior drivers build confidence, develop new skills and, most importantly, enjoy themselves along the way. Here's just some of what they will learn:

• How to correctly position yourself behind the wheel, adjust mirrors, fasten your seat belt and use indicators correctly.
• Basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks, including oil, water and windscreen checks.

• Correct braking and cornering techniques
• Exploring the limits of both car and driver in a safe, controlled environment
• High-speed braking
• Identifying blind spots and understanding driver distractions
• How to safely jack up a car and change a tyre
• What to do and how to communicate appropriately if pulled over by police

Many parents have given us extraordinary feedback about the confidence their children have gained behind the wheel after completing our Learner Driver Program.

At Pheasant Wood Circuit, we genuinely believe our course has contributed to saving countless lives. We consider the participation in this program to be one of the most valuable investments a family can make in a young driver's safety and confidence.

No learner licence or driver licence is required to participate.

Please book your child into this wonderful program, or consider a priceless gift for a loved one.
